Concrete Finisher

About This Role

Join our crew as a Concrete Finisher in Houston, TX. You’ll work with freshly poured concrete on sidewalks, driveways, floors and pavements — shaping, leveling and finishing surfaces to last. This is hands-on work that requires strength, focus, and the ability to travel to job sites. We need dependable tradespeople who know concrete behavior and finishing techniques. You’ll be expected to read site instructions, work with a crew, and maintain high standards for durability and appearance on each pour.

What You'll Do

• • Set screeds, strike off and level freshly poured concrete using screeds, floats and straightedges
• • Use hand trowels, power trowels and floats to achieve specified surface textures and finishes
• • Measure, cut and place forms, control joints, and perform surface preparation
• • Monitor curing and finishing schedules; apply curing compounds and protect finished work
• • Perform concrete repair, patching and touch-ups as needed to meet quality standards
• • Load/unload materials, maintain tools and equipment, and keep job sites clean and safe

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience in concrete finishing, placement and pouring
• • Skilled with trowels, floats, screeds, power trowels and related tools
• • Strong measuring and cutting ability and experience with surface preparation
• • Knowledge of concrete properties, curing practices and repair techniques
• • Physical strength and stamina — able to lift, kneel and work outdoors for long periods
• • Willingness to travel to job sites as required

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred
• • OSHA 10-hour construction safety card (or willing to obtain)
• • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• • High school diploma or GED or equivalent construction experience
• • Spanish language skills a plus; effective communication in English required
