Skilled Laborer — Concrete (Arlington, VA)

About This Role

Join a commercial concrete crew in Arlington, VA as a Skilled Laborer. This hands-on role supports concrete construction through material handling, formwork stripping, vibrating concrete, and assisting with concrete bucket operations — all under site supervision. Expect steady, project-based work on commercial jobsites. You’ll perform general and skilled labor tasks, maintain a safe jobsite, and participate in training and certifications to grow your skills and move up on the crew.

What You'll Do

• • Strip formwork, clean and prepare surfaces for concrete placement
• • Vibrate concrete and assist with placement and finishing tasks
• • Assist with concrete bucket operations, rigging support, and equipment setup
• • Load, unload, move materials and operate/basic hand tools safely
• • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite; follow all safety protocols
• • Attend required trainings and certifications as directed by site supervision

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 1 year related concrete or construction experience
• • Able to strip formwork, vibrate concrete, and assist with bucket operations
• • Comfortable with material handling, loading/unloading, and site cleanup
• • Able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varied weather, and stand for long periods
• • Rigging experience and OSHA 10 certification are a plus
• • Reliable transportation to Arlington job sites preferred

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED
• • 1+ year concrete/construction experience
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or willingness to obtain
• • Rigging certification (preferred)
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check; basic English communication
