Concrete Skilled Laborer
About This Role
Join a local commercial concrete crew in Cape Canaveral, FL as a Concrete Skilled Laborer. You’ll support concrete operations through material handling, form stripping, vibrating concrete and assisting with concrete bucket work — all under site supervision. This role mixes general labor with concrete-specific tasks on commercial jobsites. This position is ideal if you have grit, 1+ years of related experience and a willingness to follow safety rules and learn on the job. Regular work, paid training/certifications, and opportunities to advance are available for dependable crew members. Rigging and OSHA-10 are a plus; own transportation is preferred.
What You'll Do
- • Strip formwork and clean/prepare forms after pours
- • Set up and operate internal/external concrete vibrators to consolidate pours
- • Assist with concrete bucket operations and spot pour placement under supervision
- • Load, unload and move materials and equipment around the jobsite
- • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all site safety practices
- • Support trades on site (rebar, form carpentry) and attend required training/certifications
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 1 year related construction or concrete experience
- • Able to strip formwork, vibrate concrete, and assist with bucket operations
- • Comfortable with heavy lifting and long periods outdoors in varying weather
- • Basic material handling and site cleanup experience
- • Rigging experience and OSHA 10 certification are a plus
- • Own transportation to jobsite preferred
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- • OSHA 10 (preferred)
- • Rigging certification (preferred)
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • English required; Spanish a plus
