Crane Operator — Class A (Nationwide)
About This Role
NCCCO-certified Class A crane operators needed for nationwide, traveling assignments. This role is for experienced operators with OSHA 30 training who can safely run cranes on commercial, civil, and industrial job sites and are willing to travel or relocate for steady work. You’ll work on short- and long-term projects across the country, executing lift plans, signaling, rigging, and routine equipment checks. Expect consistent schedules with travel pay, per diem on multi-day assignments, and opportunities for overtime and steady dispatch.
What You'll Do
- • Safely operate Class A cranes on commercial, civil, and industrial sites following lift plans and site-specific procedures
- • Perform rigging, signaling, and load handling for lifts including rebar cages, structural steel, and precast elements
- • Execute pre-shift and pre-lift inspections; perform basic maintenance and report defects promptly
- • Follow and enforce safety procedures, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and spotter/signaler coordination
- • Work with supervisors and crews to plan lifts, sequence operations, and troubleshoot site challenges
What We're Looking For
- • Active NCCCO certification for the appropriate crane type (Class A credential required)
- • OSHA 30-hour construction safety training completed
- • Valid Class A license and clean driving record; passport or ability to travel across state lines
- • Proven experience in rigging, lift planning, crane signaling, and general crane operation on construction sites
- • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), team leadership on-site, and basic heavy-equipment maintenance knowledge
- • Ability and willingness to travel or relocate for assignments; adapt to varied job site conditions
Qualifications
- • NCCCO Crane Certification (Class A required)
- • OSHA 30-hour Construction Card
- • Valid Class A driver's license
- • Signalperson / Rigging certification (preferred)
- • First Aid/CPR and ability to complete site-specific safety orientations
- • Willingness to travel nationally and pass drug/safety screenings
