About This Role

Crane Operator needed in Louisville, KY for local construction and civil projects. You must hold NCCCO LAT and TLL certifications and be ready to operate lattice-boom and telescopic-boom cranes on job sites across the Louisville area. This is hands-on work: positioning loads, following lift plans, coordinating with riggers and signalers, and keeping equipment safe and serviceable. If you run a clean logbook, follow load charts, and put safety first, this crew needs you.

What You'll Do

  • Operate lattice boom and telescopic boom cranes for lifting, setting precast, placing rebar cages, and general hoisting duties
  • Follow lift plans, read and apply load charts, and perform proper rigging for each lift
  • Coordinate with site foremen, riggers, and signalers to position loads and sequence lifts safely
  • Perform pre-shift crane and rigging inspections; report defects and complete required logs and paperwork
  • Enforce site safety procedures, participate in toolbox talks, and follow NCCCO best practices on every lift
  • Assist in lift planning and communicate changes to the crew to maintain safe, efficient operations

What We're Looking For

  • Active NCCCO LAT (lattice) and TLL (telescopic) certifications
  • Proven experience operating lattice and telescopic cranes on construction or civil sites
  • Strong rigging skills, ability to read load charts, and familiarity with lift planning
  • Experience with precast erection, setting rebar cages, excavation/trench work, and general construction rigging
  • Ability to work with site teams, follow hand and radio signals, and enforce safety requirements
  • Reliable attendance, physical stamina for outdoor work, and willingness to work overtime when required

Qualifications

  • NCCCO Crane certifications — LAT (lattice) and TLL (telescopic) required
  • Current crane logbook or seat-time documentation
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Louisville job sites
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
  • OSHA 10-hour or equivalent safety training preferred
