Mechanic Drywaller / Ceiling Tile Installer

About This Role

Drywall / Ceiling Tile Installer needed for commercial projects in Norcross (Atlanta area). You’ll install metal stud framing, hang and finish drywall, and install acoustical ceiling tile on active job sites. This is hands-on work — expect lifting, working at heights, and using power tools and scaffolds. We’re looking for experienced tradespeople with at least 5 years in commercial drywall/metal framing and proven acoustical ceiling tile installation skills. Pay is $24–$26/hr. OSHA 10 and scissor lift experience required; Spanish and English speakers strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

• • Layout and install interior/exterior metal stud framing to plan
• • Hang, fasten and align drywall sheets; cut and fit around openings
• • Apply taping, mudding and finishing as needed to job specs
• • Install acoustical ceiling tiles and suspension systems
• • Operate power tools, lifts, scaffolding and work safely at heights
• • Read drawings, follow project schedules and communicate with foreman/crew

What We're Looking For

• • 5+ years commercial drywall and metal stud framing experience
• • Proven experience hanging, fastening and finishing drywall
• • Acoustical ceiling tile and suspension installation experience required
• • Skilled with drywall hand tools and power tools; work on stilts/scaffold
• • Able to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs and work prolonged periods on feet
• • Reliable communicator; able to work with minimal supervision and train crew

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 certification (required)
• • Scissor lift / aerial lift operating experience
• • 5+ years commercial drywall/metal framing experience
• • Fluent in English; Spanish language skills required/preferred
• • Able to climb, climb scaffolding, kneel, bend and lift heavy materials
