Drywall Supervisor
About This Role
Join our crew as a Drywall Supervisor in Atlanta, GA overseeing large commercial drywall and ceiling tile projects across the metro area. You’ll lead hands-on installation teams, check work for quality, and keep jobs moving on schedule. This role is field-first — you’ll supervise crews on site, coordinate with project managers for schedules and materials, solve installation problems, and maintain progress documentation for commercial projects across offices, retail, and multi-story builds.
What You'll Do
- • Supervise drywall and ceiling tile crews on commercial job sites — assign tasks, monitor production, and enforce quality standards
- • Ensure installations meet layout, leveling, and alignment specs (metal studs, soffits, soffit layout, laser layout, and sheetrock hanging)
- • Coordinate daily schedules and material deliveries with project managers and subcontractors to keep projects on time
- • Perform and oversee taping, mudding, sanding, fastening, and drywall repair; inspect work and correct defects
- • Troubleshoot installation issues (framing conflicts, out-of-plumb conditions, acoustic ceiling challenges) and provide practical solutions
- • Maintain project documentation: daily logs, progress reports, punch lists, and assist with permit/inspection coordination
What We're Looking For
- • Proven experience as a drywall foreman/supervisor on commercial projects (hands-on with hanging, taping, mudding, sanding)
- • Strong layout and blueprint/technical drawing interpretation skills; comfortable using lasers and measuring tools
- • Skilled with steel framing for interior partitions, metal studs, soffits, and acoustical ceiling systems
- • Leadership and crew management — able to enforce safety, resolve conflicts, and keep crews productive
- • Comfortable working on stilts and at heights; able to use power tools (Hilti tools experience a plus)
- • Track record of keeping jobs on schedule, maintaining jobsite cleanliness, and carrying out quality inspections
Qualifications
- • OSHA-30 (preferred) and OSHA-10
- • Hilti Certification
- • CPR and First Aid
- • Fluent in English and Spanish
What We Offer
- • Pay: $26–$32 per hour based on experience
- • Steady commercial work across metro Atlanta with consistent hours and overtime opportunities
- • Overtime pay available for extended hours
- • Opportunities for advancement to senior foreman/project superintendent roles
- • Support for on-the-job training and certification updates when assigned
