About This Role
Looking for a hands-on Drywall Framer to install and finish drywall and ceiling tile on commercial and residential projects around Colorado Springs. This is field work: measuring, cutting, hanging, taping, finishing and installing grid ceilings to meet specs and safety standards. You’ll work on-site with small crews, use trade tools and equipment daily, and be expected to produce clean, durable finishes on schedule. Steady, local work with overtime available — we need dependable people who take pride in quality work and show up ready to get the job done.
What You'll Do
- • Measure, cut, hang and secure drywall and gypsum board to metal or wood framing per plans
- • Tape, mud, sand and finish drywall to specified texture levels for commercial and residential jobs
- • Install suspended ceiling grids and ceiling tiles, including access panels and trim
- • Read basic blueprints and layout sheets; mark layout lines and locate openings and penetrations
- • Operate saws, screw guns, lifts, scaffolds and hand tools safely; maintain tools and equipment
- • Keep job sites clean, load/unload materials, assist with deliveries and follow site safety protocols
What We're Looking For
- • 2+ years hands-on drywall and ceiling tile installation experience (commercial experience preferred)
- • Proven skill with taping, mudding and finishing techniques to achieve smooth, consistent surfaces
- • Comfort working on scaffolds and lifts; able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- • Physical stamina — lift 50+ lbs, kneel, bend and stand for long periods
- • Reliable transportation to jobs around Colorado Springs and punctual attendance
- • Basic ability to read plans, use a tape measure accurately and follow foreman instructions
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA-10 (preferred) — OSHA-30 or fall protection training a plus
- • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent on-the-job experience)
- • Willingness to pass a background check and drug screen
- • Spanish language skills helpful but not required
What We Offer
- • Competitive hourly pay based on experience; overtime available
- • Paid training and certification support (OSHA, specialty finishing)
- • Health insurance options and paid time off/holidays
- • 401(k) plan with employer match or contribution
- • Tool/boot allowance and reimbursement for required PPE
- • Steady, local project schedule with potential for long-term work
