Drywall Supervisor

Nashville, TN $27-$34/hr

About This Role

Lead crews on large commercial drywall and acoustical ceiling projects across the Nashville metro area. You’ll be responsible for on-site supervision, quality control, and keeping jobs on schedule and within budget. This is a hands-on foreman role — you’ll run layout and installations, coach crew members, coordinate materials with project managers, and solve field issues. Pay $27–$34/hr depending on experience, with steady commercial work and overtime available.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and lead drywall and acoustical ceiling crews on commercial job sites across Nashville.
  • Set layout, check levels and alignments, and verify installations meet plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate daily schedules, material deliveries, and manpower with project managers and suppliers.
  • Enforce site safety and quality standards; conduct toolbox talks and jobsite inspections.
  • Troubleshoot installation problems (framing, soffits, ceilings, metal studs) and provide practical solutions on the spot.
  • Maintain daily logs, progress reports, punch lists, and communicate status to project management.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years commercial drywall experience, including hanging, finishing and acoustical ceilings.
  • Skilled with steel framing, metal studs, soffits, layout, measuring and cutting, and use of lasers/levels.
  • Ability to read plans and ensure walls, ceilings and partitions are plumb and level.
  • Proven track record supervising crews and managing day-to-day field operations on commercial sites.
  • Good physical stamina, dependable attendance, and commitment to jobsite housekeeping and safety.
  • Strong communication skills; able to coordinate with supervisors and work with bilingual crews (Spanish/English).

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 required
  • Hilti certification (preferred)
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
