Drywall Framer

About This Role

We are hiring a hands-on Drywall Framer in Huntersville, NC. You’ll read blueprints, cut and hang drywall on walls and ceilings, patch seams, and finish surfaces to spec. Work is on local job sites — expect to move between projects and support other crews as needed. This is a physical role that requires accurate measuring, safe scaffold and stilt work, and clean finishing. Pay starts at $22/hr with opportunities for steady hours and overtime when available.

What You'll Do

• • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine installation method and material needs
• • Measure, cut, hang, and fasten drywall on walls and ceilings to ensure proper alignment and fit
• • Tape, mud, sand, and texture joints to produce finished surfaces ready for paint
• • Patch and repair drywall, remove seams, and fill gaps to maintain finished quality
• • Set up and work from scaffolding and stilts safely; transport materials between local job sites
• • Support other crew tasks as directed on multiple company job sites (ceiling tile or steel framing as needed)

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience hanging and finishing drywall (commercial or residential)
• • Ability to read blueprints, measure accurately, and follow project specs
• • Skilled with taping, mudding, sanding, joint compound application, and texturing
• • Comfortable working on stilts and scaffold systems; follow safety procedures
• • Reliable transportation to Huntersville-area job sites and ability to lift and carry materials
• • Basic hand and power tool proficiency; experience with automatic taping tools a plus

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • 2+ years drywall/framing experience preferred
• • Basic English for reading plans and communicating on site
