Dallas, TX $19-$46/hr

About This Role

This is a per diem position with a wide pay range ($19–$46/hr) depending on experience and project. Expect varied conditions—nights, weekends, outdoor work—and a role that prioritizes safety, quality, and clear documentation of all work performed.

What You'll Do

  • Test, diagnose and repair electrical systems using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters and other specialty tools; document findings, actions and final resolution.
  • Lead, train and direct 3–4 apprentices on commercial job sites; lay out work and assign tasks for safe, timely completion.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, equipment schedules and code books; select and install wiring, conduit, overcurrent devices and fixtures to code.
  • Respond to emergency service calls, quickly assess safety and provide clear direction to crews and customers.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment; follow and enforce OSHA, company safety and quality programs; complete required safety training prior to starting work.

What We're Looking For

  • Current, non-expired Texas Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Proven commercial electrical experience; completion of a 4-year apprenticeship or equivalent trade school preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with testing equipment; ability to work on energized circuits preferred while following safety protocols.
  • Ability to read blueprints, use code books, and accurately document work and test results.
  • Leadership experience directing small crews; clear verbal and written communication with customers, inspectors and team members.
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screen; provide reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • Texas Journeyman Electrician license (current)
  • OSHA-30 and OSHA-10 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent technical/trade school (preferred)
  • English required; Spanish bilingual a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Able to pass criminal background check and drug screen; provide trade references

What We Offer

  • Pay range $19–$46/hr plus per diem for qualifying assignments.
  • Paid safety training (required pre-start safety orientation) and support for OSHA training.
  • Overtime opportunities and higher pay on emergency/after-hours calls.
  • Competitive benefit plans and access to trade advancement opportunities.
  • On-the-job mentoring under a Master Electrician with clear path to higher responsibility.
