Journeyman Electrician — Orlando, FL

About This Role

Hands-on electrician work in the Orlando area with steady commercial and residential projects. Pay starts at $27+/hr (depending on experience). Expect new construction, remodels, and service calls across Central Florida. You’ll be part of small crews, work from jobsite plans and specs, and handle installation, troubleshooting and maintenance. Reliable transportation, a strong work ethic, and basic tools are required. Overtime and weekend work when needed.

What You'll Do

  • Install, connect and test wiring, panels, breakers, lighting, outlets and fixtures on commercial and residential jobs
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications; follow NEC and local code requirements
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, locate faults, repair or replace components and verify repairs
  • Pull wire, bend and install conduit, make terminations and secure raceways
  • Use test equipment (multimeter, megger, circuit tracer) and record results
  • Keep job site safe and clean; follow lockout/tagout and basic safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years electrical experience in commercial or residential construction or service
  • Ability to read plans, measure, bend conduit and perform accurate terminations
  • Comfort working at heights, in tight spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Own basic electrician hand tools and be able to maintain them
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in Orlando/central FL
  • Available for overtime and occasional weekend or emergency call-outs

Qualifications

  • Florida journeyman electrician license or equivalent preferred
  • OSHA-10 (required) — OSHA-30 preferred
  • NFPA 70E / arc-flash safety training preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Clean driving record; valid driver’s license
  • English required for safety communication; Spanish a plus
