Electrician — Construction & Service (TX)

About this role

Hiring electricians across Texas for hands-on electrical construction and service work. You’ll work on commercial and residential projects—installing, maintaining, and repairing wiring, lighting, motor controllers, fire alarm and low-voltage systems. This role is for practical, safety-minded electricians who can read drawings, troubleshoot circuits, work on construction sites and service calls, and follow local electrical codes. Pay is competitive (DOE) with regular overtime opportunities and steady schedules.

What you'll do

• • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems: wiring, wireway/raceway, lighting, motor controllers, and overcurrent devices on commercial and residential jobs
• • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and load calculations to lay out and execute work
• • Troubleshoot and test circuits, motors, transformers, standby/emergency systems, medium-voltage equipment, and fire alarm systems; perform commissioning and repairs
• • Install and maintain low-voltage/VDV systems (voice, data, video) and coordinate connections with other trades
• • Perform construction and service calls as assigned—coordinate with foremen, inspectors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule
• • Follow site safety procedures, NFPA 70E and local code requirements; maintain tools, vehicle, and paperwork

What we're looking for

• • Commercial electrical service and installation experience (minimum 2+ years preferred; apprentices with relevant experience considered)
• • Able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and plans and select/install overcurrent devices and motor controllers
• • Experience with wireway and raceway installation, medium-voltage equipment, fire alarm systems, and lighting systems
• • Strong troubleshooting skills—testing amps, insulation, continuity and diagnosing wear-and-tear issues
• • Physically able to work at heights, in confined spaces, lift 50+ lbs, and handle typical construction site demands
• • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to job sites across Texas

Qualifications

• • Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred; completion of apprenticeship or equivalent experience accepted
• • OSHA-10 minimum (OSHA-30 and NFPA 70E training preferred)
• • Fire alarm and low-voltage system certifications preferred
• • High school diploma or GED
• • Able to pass background check and drug screen
• • English required; Spanish conversational preferred
