Industrial Electrician

Charleston, SC $24-$32/hr

About this role

Seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to work in Charleston County, SC. This role combines hands-on electrical work on industrial sites with project management tasks — take-offs, estimating, material ordering, billing, and manpower planning for small to medium projects. You’ll work with power, controls, automation and network systems (1000V and below), meet directly with clients to review scope and secure work, and serve as the on-site point of contact. Must be self-motivated, able to manage multiple jobs, and comfortable using basic computer tools to track projects. Full benefits are offered; all hires must pass a background check and drug screening.

What you'll do

  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, e-plans, and specifications for industrial electrical systems (up to 1000V).
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power, control, automation, and network systems on industrial sites.
  • Manage multiple small-to-medium projects: schedule crews, coordinate material ordering, track progress, and manage manpower for each job.
  • Perform take-offs, prepare estimates, and assist with billing and job closeout and documentation.
  • Meet with new and existing clients to understand project scope, communicate needs, and help secure new work.
  • Use Microsoft Office and basic computer tools to prepare reports, estimates, schedules, and maintain job records.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
  • Strong ability to read and understand electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with power, controls, automation, and network systems (1000 volts or less).
  • Experience performing take-offs, estimating small to medium projects, and ordering materials.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer literacy.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master electrician license preferred.
  • Trade school certificate or equivalent industrial electrical training.
  • OSHA or site-safety training preferred (willingness to complete site-specific safety training required).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer-facing experience preferred.

What we offer

  • Health and dental insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching.
  • Paid vacation and holidays.
  • Flexible spending account / pre-tax benefits.
  • Opportunities for overtime and career advancement.
  • On-the-job training and a supportive field team culture.
