Industrial Electrician (PLC & Maintenance)
About This Role
Seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician in Greer, SC to maintain and repair plant electrical systems with a focus on PLCs and reliable uptime. You’ll work hands-on with conduit, motor controllers, medium and high-voltage equipment, and access control/security systems to keep production running safely and efficiently. This is a maintenance-heavy role: routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs are daily. You’ll work with other maintenance trades, follow safety procedures, document work, and support industrial construction or retrofit projects as needed. Pay up to $35/hr depending on experience.
What You'll Do
- • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems, motors, starters, and motor controllers
- • Troubleshoot and fix PLC issues, I/O faults, wiring problems, and control-system alarms
- • Install and bend conduit, run cable pathways and supports, and follow piping/mechanical blueprints on installs
- • Work on medium- and high-voltage systems safely, including switching and isolation under lockout/tagout
- • Install and service access control and security/alarm systems; diagnose and resolve alarm issues
- • Coordinate with other maintenance staff and document repairs, parts used, and test results
What We're Looking For
- • Proven hands-on experience with conduit bending and commercial electrical service installation
- • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and maintenance in industrial settings
- • Skilled with selecting/installing motor controllers and working on medium/high-voltage equipment
- • Able to read and interpret piping & mechanical blueprints and wiring diagrams
- • Experience installing cable pathways, supports, and access control systems
- • Strong commitment to enforcing safety procedures and working under LOTO rules
Qualifications
- • OSHA 10 certification (required)
- • High school diploma or GED preferred
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Greer, SC sites
- • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
- • PLC training or documented on-the-job PLC experience
