Electrical Foreman (Industrial Power)

Greenville, MS $23-$31/hr

About this role

Lead and supervise an electrical crew on an industrial power project in Greenville, MS. This is a lead-level hands-on role: you’ll run the crew, keep work on schedule, enforce safety, and make sure work meets plans, specs, codes and quality standards. You will plan and coordinate people, tools, equipment and materials, keep accurate daily records (quantities, productivity, timesheets, reports), run toolbox talks, and work with project supervision to meet schedule and cost targets. This is a per diem position; eligible rehires may receive additional incentive compensation.

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage daily activities of the electrical crew to meet project timelines, plans, specifications and quality standards
  • Plan, coordinate and organize people, tools, equipment and materials for safe, timely construction
  • Maintain accurate records: job quantities, productivity rates, timesheets and daily management reports
  • Enforce company and government safety rules, conduct toolbox talks, and correct unsafe behavior
  • Coordinate work with other trades, ensure equipment is operated/maintained correctly, and manage sequence of activities for assigned crew
  • Monitor job cost performance and communicate progress, issues and schedule updates to project supervision

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as an electrical foreman/lead on industrial or commercial projects
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, codes and technical instructions
  • Proven ability to plan work, train and supervise crew members, and enforce safety procedures
  • Able to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces; able to work outdoors in all weather
  • Available for overtime, nights and weekends as required by the workload; must bring required hand tools
  • Reliable transportation and, when required, a valid state driver’s license

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Journeyman electrician or equivalent craft experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years lead/foreman experience on industrial or heavy commercial projects
  • Familiarity with blueprint/technical drawing interpretation and selection/installation of electrical devices
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces; able to pass required site physical checks
  • OSHA/site safety training (or willing to obtain) and good verbal/written communication skills
