Journeyman Construction Wireman (IBEW)
About This Role
Looking for an experienced IBEW journeyman construction wireman willing to relocate. Work includes commercial and residential projects across the U.S.—installation, service, and maintenance of electrical systems on construction sites. Travel and multi-site assignments are common. Union membership is required. Spanish-language skills are a plus. We want reliable, hands-on wiremen who can read blueprints, run raceways, terminate feeders, install lighting and overcurrent protection, and troubleshoot systems safely and efficiently. Relocation assistance and per diem available for qualifying assignments.
What You'll Do
- • Install, terminate and connect feeders, branch circuits, switchgear and panels on commercial and residential sites
- • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to lay out electrical systems
- • Install wireways, raceways and conduit; pull and splice cable to code
- • Install lighting systems, overcurrent protection devices and coordinate standby/emergency systems
- • Install and service voice, data and video systems; perform system testing and troubleshooting
- • Perform routine maintenance, system diagnostics and repair while following safety and code requirements
What We're Looking For
- • Active IBEW journeyman-level experience and membership required
- • Proven experience with commercial electrical service installation and residential wiring
- • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
- • Skilled at troubleshooting electrical systems, testing amp loads, and identifying wear/failures
- • Experience installing wireway, raceway, lighting, overcurrent devices, and standby/emergency systems
- • Willingness to relocate for assignments and travel to multiple job sites; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- • Active IBEW membership / journeyman card
- • Proven construction wireman experience (commercial and residential)
- • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
- • Working knowledge of NEC, local codes and safety procedures
- • Spanish language skills — conversational or better (preferred)
