Journeyman Wireman (IBEW) — Nationwide
About This Role
We’re looking for experienced IBEW journeyman wiremen anywhere in the U.S. who are ready and able to relocate for projects. This role is for fully qualified journeyman-level electricians with a solid union background who can jump into commercial, industrial, and residential jobs nationwide. You’ll be expected to travel to assigned locations, follow project schedules, and work under union terms. Relocation assistance, travel pay, and access to union benefits are offered. If you hold an IBEW card and want steady work across the country, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- • Install, maintain, and repair distribution equipment, switchgear, and medium/high-voltage systems on commercial and industrial sites
- • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to lay out work and locate circuits
- • Install and maintain wireways, raceways, conduit, motor controllers, lighting, and overcurrent protection
- • Troubleshoot electrical systems for safety, amps, wear and tear; test and commission circuits and equipment
- • Install and service standby and emergency power systems, and perform VDV (voice, data, video) terminations as required
- • Coordinate with site supervisors, follow local/state/federal electrical codes, and maintain a safe, compliant worksite
What We're Looking For
- • Journeyman-level electrical experience with demonstrated commercial and industrial work history
- • Active IBEW membership or journeyman card required
- • Willingness to relocate and work anywhere in the United States for project assignments
- • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, perform branch circuit and feeder load calculations, and select/install proper overcurrent devices
- • Experience with medium/high-voltage, motor controllers, lighting systems, and standby/emergency power systems
- • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass drug screen and background check
Qualifications
- • Active IBEW journeyman card/membership
- • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- • OSHA 10 or 30 hour card (or willingness to obtain)
- • NFPA 70E / Arc Flash training (preferred)
- • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
- • Willingness to relocate and work at varied U.S. project sites; ability to pass drug screen and background check
