Kentucky Licensed Journeyman Electrician
About This Role
Kentucky-licensed journeyman electrician wanted for hands-on electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across commercial and residential jobs throughout Kentucky. This role requires a current Kentucky journeyman electrician license and practical experience working with distribution equipment, lighting, raceways, and standby/emergency systems. You’ll work on job sites installing and repairing electrical systems, reading and following blueprints and electrical codes, and diagnosing problems to keep projects on schedule. What You'll Do
- • Install, maintain, and repair commercial and residential electrical systems including distribution equipment and overcurrent devices
- • Read and interpret electrical drawings, technical blueprints, and local/state electrical codes to complete installations to spec
- • Install wireways, raceways, conduit, and lighting systems; pull and terminate conductors
- • Troubleshoot electrical systems—identify faults, perform amp checks, and correct wear-and-tear issues while following safety protocols
- • Install, test, and maintain standby and emergency power systems and low-voltage components
- • Perform work inspections, document completed work, and coordinate with site supervisors to ensure code compliance
What We're Looking For
- • Valid Kentucky journeyman electrician license (state-issued)
- • Journeyman-level electrical experience with commercial and/or residential installations
- • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and local building codes
- • Skilled at troubleshooting electrical systems, performing amp checks, and selecting/installing overcurrent devices
- • Experience with wireway, raceway, conduit, lighting, low-voltage systems, and standby/emergency systems
- • Ability to work safely on active job sites and follow OSHA and NEC requirements
Qualifications
- • State Licensed Electrician — current Kentucky journeyman electrician license required
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred
- • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) and working knowledge of NEC and local codes
- • High school diploma or GED; technical school or apprenticeship completion preferred
- • Ability to pass background check and drug screen; able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
