Licensed Journeyman Electrician
About this role
Join a mobile field crew installing and maintaining power systems across substation, commercial, industrial, solar and wind projects nationwide. This role is hands-on: you’ll run conduit, pull large cable, wire medium/high-voltage systems, and read and follow electrical drawings on active job sites. This position requires a licensed journeyman electrician with a minimum of 2 years’ electrical experience who is willing to travel frequently. Per diem is provided while on assignment and work is project-based across a variety of energy sites.
What you'll do
- • Install, terminate and test conduit systems; perform conduit bending and pulling of large cable
- • Install and maintain medium- and high-voltage equipment at substations and industrial sites
- • Install PV (solar) arrays and perform wiring tasks on wind farm equipment as assigned
- • Read, interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics and site plans
- • Perform lighting, standby/emergency system and voice/data/video system installations
- • Follow site safety rules and participate in site-specific safety orientations
What we're looking for
- • State-licensed journeyman electrician with a minimum of 2 years of electrical field experience
- • Hands-on experience on substation, commercial, industrial, solar and/or wind energy projects
- • Proficient in conduit bending, pulling conduit/large cable and reading electrical drawings
- • Knowledge of medium/high-voltage systems, building codes, and standby/emergency systems
- • Willingness to travel frequently and work at remote project locations
Qualifications
- • State journeyman electrician license (required)
- • Able to travel frequently and work at remote project sites
- • Valid driver’s license for travel between sites
- • Comfortable completing site-specific certifications and safety training (OSHA/site orientation)
