Mission Critical Electrician

Nationwide

About This Role

Nationwide openings for mission critical electricians to work on high-reliability power systems in data centers and similar critical facilities. You’ll be working where uptime matters — installing, maintaining and troubleshooting systems that keep servers and operations running. We need hands-on electricians who can read complex drawings, work safely on medium- and high-voltage equipment, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance under strict procedures. Assignments are nationwide and may require travel, overtime, and work in controlled-access facilities.

What You'll Do

  • Install, commission, and maintain mission critical electrical systems (switchgear, PDUs, UPS, generators, ATS) in data centers and critical facilities
  • Read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to execute installations and modifications
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults safely and efficiently — perform diagnostics, isolate issues, and restore systems with minimal downtime
  • Perform medium- and high-voltage switching and maintenance following lockout/tagout and site-specific safety procedures
  • Install and test standby/emergency power systems, overcurrent devices, and grounding systems; document work and update as-built drawings

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience with distribution equipment installation and maintenance in mission critical or commercial environments
  • Skilled at reading and interpreting technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, including thermal/amp issues and wear-and-tear diagnostics
  • Experience with medium-voltage and standby/emergency power systems (UPS, generators, ATS) and overcurrent device selection
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and site-specific procedures
  • Comfortable working on construction projects, coordinating with other trades, and following project schedules

Qualifications

  • Journeyman or higher electrician license where required by jurisdiction (preferred)
  • NFPA 70E certified or equivalent electrical safety training
  • OSHA 30-hour construction safety preferred; site-specific safety training as required
  • Medium-voltage switching and testing experience; vendor-specific UPS/generator training a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationwide; passport if international travel is needed
  • Ability to read technical drawings and communicate clearly in English; Spanish or other languages a plus

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay plus overtime for extended shifts
  • Travel assignments nationwide with per diem and lodging when required
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options
  • 401(k) plan with employer match or retirement savings support
  • Paid training and certification reimbursement (NFPA 70E, OSHA, vendor training)
  • Tool/boot allowance and paid time off for vacation and holidays
