Electrical Journeyman

About This Role

Join a mobile electrical crew installing, testing, repairing and maintaining power and electrical systems across the region. This role focuses on safe, code-compliant work on wiring, equipment, motors, transformers and high-voltage systems while following plans and coordinating with a crew. You’ll work on commercial and industrial electrical systems, perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, and support projects that may require travel or relocation. This is hands-on work — bring your tools, trade skills, and commitment to safe, quality craft.

What You'll Do

• • Assemble, install, test and maintain wiring, fixtures, electrical equipment and components using hand and power tools
• • Install, repair and maintain motors, transformers, generators and high-voltage/distribution systems to code and OEM specs
• • Read and interpret plans, drawings and work orders to layout work, sequence tasks and verify materials
• • Troubleshoot electrical problems using testing tools (ohmmeters, voltmeters, etc.), isolate faults and replace defective parts
• • Perform preventive maintenance, system tests and document work completed and parts used
• • Maintain a safe work environment: follow safety procedures, use PPE, attend required training and report hazards

What We're Looking For

• • State-licensed electrician with a minimum of 2 years journeyman-level experience
• • Hands-on experience with transformer, motor and distribution equipment installation and maintenance
• • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and work orders
• • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with overcurrent device selection and circuit testing
• • Willingness to travel and/or relocate across multiple states; flexible for overtime and project schedules
• • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights with fall protection, and operate common trade equipment

Qualifications

• • State Licensed Electrician (required)
• • High school diploma or GED; trade school or completed apprenticeship preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to read and understand English; Spanish a plus
• • Willingness to submit to background check and drug screen
• • Safety credentials preferred: OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid
