Electrical Journeyman

About This Role

Seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman for a per diem assignment in Cheyenne Wells, CO. You’ll install, test, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems — from conduit bending and lighting to MV terminations and transformers. Work includes indoor and outdoor sites, substations, and underground splices. This role is hands-on: read plans, make connections, troubleshoot with meters, and keep jobs safe and up to code. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates; travel and overtime pay will be provided on site.

What You'll Do

• • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, fixtures, and equipment on commercial/industrial sites
• • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear and other components; perform MV terminations and underground splices
• • Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, and overcurrent protection devices
• • Read and follow plans, schematics, one-lines and work orders to determine layout and material needs
• • Use test equipment (ohmmeters, voltmeters, megohmmeters) to troubleshoot and verify electrical systems
• • Maintain a safe work environment: follow lockout/tagout, PPE, and site safety procedures; document work and update job knowledge

What We're Looking For

• • Journeyman-level electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or substation work
• • Skilled in conduit bending, wireway and raceway installation, and lighting systems
• • Experience with MV termination, underground splicing, stress cones, tee bodies and working on 480V–34.5kV systems
• • Ability to install and maintain transformers, motors, generators and selection/installation of overcurrent devices
• • Proficient using electrical test instruments and reading electrical plans and schematics
• • Commitment to enforcing safety procedures, following electrical codes, and working per diem with travel

Qualifications

• • Valid State electrician license (Journeyman or higher)
• • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
• • High-voltage experience/certification (MV termination, 34.5 kV work)
• • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; able to travel and work per diem
• • CPR/First Aid certification and ability to pass drug screen/background check
• • English required; Spanish a plus
