Traveling Industrial Electrician (Journeyman) — Duncan, SC

About this role

Experienced industrial electricians needed for traveling assignments based out of Duncan, SC. You will manage multiple industrial electrical projects from takeoffs and estimating through material ordering, crew coordination, and client communication. This role covers power, controls, automation and network systems up to 1000 volts. Journeyman electricians with at least two years of journeyman experience are eligible for a $2,000 hire-on bonus. The position includes a full benefits package, paid time off, retirement savings with company match, and requires background and drug screening.

What you'll do

• • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, e-plans and specifications for industrial projects
• • Perform take-offs and prepare estimates for small to medium size jobs
• • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power, controls, automation and network systems (1000V and below)
• • Order materials, track project progress, manage job costing and billing tasks
• • Coordinate and manage manpower on multiple concurrent projects and work sites
• • Meet with clients, secure scopes of work and maintain professional client relations

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 5 years industrial electrical experience (1000 volts and below)
• • Journeyman electrician status with 2+ years as a journeyman to qualify for the hire-on bonus
• • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications
• • Experience with power distribution, controls, automation and voice/data systems
• • Comfortable performing take-offs, estimating and basic project cost tracking
• • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Qualifications

• • Valid journeyman electrician certification (required for bonus eligibility)
• • Minimum 5 years industrial electrical experience
• • Able to pass background check and drug screening
• • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• • Clear verbal and written communication in English
