Traveling Industrial Electrician
About this role
Join a hands-on industrial electrical crew in Duncan, SC. Pay is $25–$32/hr depending on experience, with a $2,000 hire-on bonus available to qualified journeyman electricians. This is a traveling role managing multiple industrial jobs, working on power, controls, automation and network systems up to 1,000 volts. You will estimate and take off small-to-medium projects, read and follow schematics and e-plans, handle material ordering and job costing, and coordinate crews and client communication. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years industrial electrical experience and be able to pass background and drug screening.
What you'll do
- • Manage multiple industrial electrical projects from start to finish at job sites (travel required)
- • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, e-plans and specifications to lay out work
- • Perform take-offs and prepare estimates for small to medium projects
- • Order and track materials, manage job budgets, and handle basic billing/job cost reporting
- • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power, controls, automation and network systems (1,000V and below)
- • Coordinate crew schedules, subcontractors and maintain client communication on site
What we're looking for
- • Minimum 5 years industrial electrical experience (power, controls, automation, network systems ≤1,000V)
- • Proven ability to read/interpret schematics, blueprints and e-plans
- • Experience performing take-offs and estimating small-to-medium projects
- • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- • Willingness to travel to multiple job sites and manage onsite crews
- • Able to pass background check and drug screening
Qualifications
- • Journeyman electrician license preferred; journeymen with 2+ years journeyman experience eligible for $2,000 hire-on bonus
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • High school diploma or GED (technical schooling or trade school a plus)
- • Willing/able to complete required background and drug screening
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills; basic project management experience
