What You'll Do
- • Install, wire and commission UPS systems, transfer switches and related PDUs per manufacturer specs and site drawings
- • Troubleshoot, test and perform preventive maintenance on standby and emergency power systems to ensure uptime
- • Work with multiple manufacturers' equipment — follow OEM procedures, firmware updates, and acceptance testing
- • Perform conduit bending, wireway/raceway installation and secure rack & equipment mounting on site
- • Document work (service reports, commissioning checklists), order/track parts, and communicate status to clients
What We're Looking For
- • Proven experience installing, commissioning and maintaining UPS systems, transfer switches and PDUs
- • Hands-on skills in conduit bending, transformer and distribution equipment installation/maintenance
- • Comfortable with medium/low voltage work, reading electrical schematics and performing load calculations
- • Willingness and ability to travel domestically 50%–75%, stay overnight, and work overtime as needed
- • Able to work independently on-site, lift tools/equipment, and follow safe work procedures
Qualifications
- • CPR, AED and First Aid
- • OSHA 10
- • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- • Journeyman electrician or equivalent field experience preferred
- • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety practices; NETA certification or manufacturer training a plus
- • English required; Spanish a plus
What We Offer
- • Competitive pay (DOE) plus travel per diem and mileage reimbursement or company vehicle
- • Overtime pay and paid travel time for longer jobs
- • Health insurance options and company-paid basic life insurance
- • Paid time off and holiday pay
- • Tool allowance and training/certification reimbursement
