Full Time
VDC/BIM Coordinator — Electrical (Nationwide)
About This Role
Lead BIM-based electrical layout, coordination, and documentation for high-priority commercial projects nationwide. You’ll own Revit and Navisworks modeling, clash detection, construction document production, and digital deliverables while working directly with project managers, engineers, field crews, and vendors. This role requires hands-on BIM skills plus on-site support: you’ll produce and maintain 3D models, generate takeoffs and bills of material, run coordination studies, and provide BIM engineering and technical support in the field. Strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to meet contract LOD/IPD requirements are essential.
What You'll Do
- • Build and maintain Revit MEP models and Navisworks federated models for assigned projects
- • Run regular clash detection, document findings, and coordinate resolutions with other trades
- • Produce construction drawings, shop drawings, as-builts, and Navisworks walk-throughs from BIM models
- • Generate quantity takeoffs, bills of material, and schedule data from BIM models for procurement and estimating
- • Provide onsite BIM engineering and technical support; verify field installations and manage digital documentation
- • Coordinate with engineers, preconstruction, vendors, project managers, and field teams to maintain schedule and contract LOD/IPD
What We're Looking For
- • 2+ years hands-on experience with Revit MEP and Navisworks in an electrical layout/coordination role
- • Proven experience performing clash detection and driving interdisciplinary coordination
- • Strong ability to turn BIM models into construction documents and accurate as-builts
- • Skilled with quantity takeoffs, bills of materials, and extracting schedules from BIM
- • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to clearly document and push coordination items
- • Willingness to travel and provide onsite support on projects nationwide
Qualifications
- • Proficient in Revit MEP and Navisworks (portfolio or project examples preferred)
- • Experience with Bluebeam, Procore or similar construction/document management tools
- • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred)
- • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel overnight as needed
- • Associate degree or technical diploma in electrical technology, BIM, or construction management preferred
- • English required; bilingual (Spanish) a plus
What We Offer
- • Health, dental and vision insurance options
- • 401(k) with company match
- • Paid time off and paid holidays
- • Travel reimbursement and per diem for overnight project work
- • Paid training and certification support (Revit/Navisworks/Bluebeam)
- • Company-provided software licenses and access to BIM team resources
