General Labor: 3D Modeler & CAD Technician

About This Role

Join a nationwide crew providing 3D modeling and CAD drafting support to construction and engineering trades. You’ll build and update 3D models, produce accurate CAD drawings and layouts, and work directly with field teams and other trades to keep projects moving. This role fits hands-on people who know CAD workflows, can read construction drawings, and want steady work across multiple jobsites or remotely. Pay is competitive and depends on experience (typical range $22–$38/hr DOE). Positions available full-time and contract — travel and remote options depending on the project.

What You'll Do

• • Create, modify and maintain 3D models for structural, MEP and architectural trade support.
• • Produce and issue CAD drawings, shop drawings and fabrication details to spec.
• • Coordinate models and drawings with multiple trades to resolve clashes and sequencing.
• • Prepare layout sheets, plan views and installation details for field crews.
• • Track revisions, maintain drawing control and respond to RFIs or model change requests.

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years hands-on experience in 3D modeling and CAD drafting for construction or fabrication.
• • Proven skills in Revit and AutoCAD; Navisworks or clash-detection experience preferred.
• • Ability to read construction drawings, shop details and measure for fit-up.
• • Good communication to coordinate with superintendents, foremen and other trades.
• • Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and follow drawing standards.

Qualifications

• • Autodesk Revit or AutoCAD certification (preferred).
• • Navisworks/BIM coordination training (preferred).
• • OSHA 10-hour card or equivalent safety training.
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
• • English required; Spanish or other language skills a plus.
