General Laborer (Trenching & Masonry)

About This Role

Join a hands-on crew in Midlothian, TX as a General Laborer working on trenching, masonry, boring/tunneling and underground pipefitting projects. Pay up to $40/hr depending on experience. Day-to-day work is physical and outdoors — expect excavation, rigging, masonry setting, welding support and site cleanup. You’ll work with experienced tradespeople on multi-phase jobs: loading/unloading materials, setting temporary fencing, traffic control/flagging, demolition, and swimming pool/hot tub installation or repair when needed. OSHA 10 is required; steady attendance, a strong work ethic, and a safety-first attitude are a must.

What You'll Do

• • Load, unload and move materials on site; assist with rigging and positioning of pipe and pre-cast concrete.
• • Perform excavation and trench work: trench stabilization, bedding, dewatering, and safe shoring practices.
• • Support underground pipefitting and installation, including backfill, compaction and final site cleanup.
• • Carry out masonry and stone work: bricklaying, general masonry, elevated masonry and laying/block setting.
• • Execute welding and cutting tasks as directed (SMAW, oxyfuel cutting) and assist with general plumbing and pool/hot tub installations.
• • Install temporary fencing, manage traffic control/flagging, perform demolition and maintain a clean, safe worksite.

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience with excavation/trench work, rigging and underground pipefitting.
• • Hands-on masonry skills (bricklaying, stone masonry, elevated masonry) and experience with SMAW/general welding.
• • Comfort using oxyfuel cutting, basic plumbing tasks, and pool/hot tub installation or maintenance.
• • Ability to perform heavy physical labor, lift frequently, work outdoors in varied weather and follow safety protocols.
• • Valid OSHA 10 certification required; experience with traffic control/flagging and temporary fencing preferred.

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 certification (required).
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• • Welding certification (SMAW) or demonstrable welding experience preferred.
• • Flagger/traffic control card and NCCER or equivalent credentials a plus.
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
