General Labor Craftsman

Beaumont, TX $18-$28/hr

About this role

We’re hiring a multi-skilled craftsman in Beaumont, TX to perform construction, interior finishing, maintenance, and repair work across building, civil, and structural projects. This is a hands-on role supporting field leadership to complete work safely, on schedule, and to trade-quality standards. You’ll move between service jobs and project work: finishing interiors, performing concrete and excavation tasks, handling demolition and site cleanup, and doing general plumbing and repair work as needed. Work is site-based — expect varied daily tasks and close coordination with leads and crew members.

What you'll do

  • Perform skilled construction and interior finishing tasks: trim, drywall, doors, cabinetry, and minor plumbing as required
  • Carry out building, civil, and structural maintenance and repair work, including concrete patching and basic structural fixes
  • Support excavation, trenching, demolition, shoring, and site cleanup to prepare and close out work areas
  • Read and follow drawings, specs, and work orders; assist with on-site layout and measurements
  • Load, unload, stage materials and maintain organized tool and material areas on site
  • Follow safety plans, enforce safe work practices, and report hazards to field leadership

What we're looking for

  • Proven hands-on experience in building, civil, or structural construction and repairs
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Skilled with general construction tasks: interior finishing, demolition, site cleanup, and concrete work
  • Comfortable performing excavation/trench work and basic plumbing tasks
  • Competent operating common hand and power tools; able to safely load and unload materials
  • Commitment to enforcing safety procedures and maintaining quality work on every job

Qualifications

  • Ability to read plans and basic construction math
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Beaumont job sites
  • Able to pass background and drug screening where required
  • Site safety training (OSHA 10 or equivalent) preferred — willingness to obtain if needed
  • Physically able to lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment for full shifts

What we offer

  • Company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and basic tools for common tasks
  • Opportunities for skills training and certificate reimbursement
  • Paid time off and job-site scheduling that supports local assignments
  • Overtime and additional hours available on larger projects
  • Stable, consistent work across building, civil, and structural service projects
