General Installer (Orlando, FL)
About This Role
Join our Orlando crew as a general installer using your custom cutting, commercial and warehouse experience to keep projects moving. This is hands-on work: cutting materials, setting and fitting components, moving material on site, and keeping the job clean and organized. You’ll work on commercial projects handling countertops, cabinets, door/hardware, trim, wall protection and site furnishings. Pay is $17–$30/hr depending on experience. We move fast, follow safety rules, and expect reliable, hardworking people who can read drawings and measure and cut accurately.
What You'll Do
- • Perform material handling: load/unload, stage, and move materials on site and in the warehouse
- • Operate custom cutting tools and equipment to measure, cut and prepare countertops, panels, trim and wallcovering
- • Install and assist with cabinet, countertop, door/hardware, trim, and division-10 items (wall protection, bathroom stalls, accessories)
- • Support commercial project tasks: blocking/backing, metal and wood framing, in-wall backing, and site layout
- • Maintain site cleanliness, perform general cleanup, set up/tear down scaffolding, and follow safety procedures
- • Assist foreman with inspections, measuring, layout and basic crew training as needed
What We're Looking For
- • Commercial construction and warehouse experience with custom cutting and material handling
- • Able to read and interpret drawings and measure/cut accurately
- • Hands-on carpentry skills: cabinet installation, countertop installation, trim and paneling, general finish/rough carpentry
- • Experience with metal framing, wood framing, blocking, and basic concrete/trim work
- • Comfortable using power cutting tools, scaffolding systems, and following site safety rules
- • Reliable, punctual, able to lift 50+ lbs and work a full schedule including possible overtime
Qualifications
- • English (required)
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • Able to pass a drug screen and background check
- • OSHA 10 (preferred)
- • Forklift certification preferred
- • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding
