General Labor Installer
About This Role
Join our Orlando crew as a General Labor Installer. You’ll use your custom cutting, commercial and warehouse experience to support a variety of projects — Division 10 work, wall protection, bathroom stalls, countertop and cabinet installs, and general site work. This is a hands-on role for someone who works clean, measures and cuts accurately, and moves quickly on busy commercial jobs. You’ll be part of a local team handling material handling, site cleanup, and direct support of installers and foremen. Expect fast-paced days, varied tasks, and work across commercial job sites in the Orlando area. Pay range: $17–$30/hr depending on experience and skills.
What You'll Do
- • Perform general labor duties: move materials, load/unload trucks, and keep job sites clean and organized
- • Operate custom cutting tools and equipment for countertops, panels and specialty materials
- • Support commercial project tasks: assist with Division 10 installs (wall protection, bathroom stalls, toilet accessories), cabinet and countertop setting, and in-wall backing
- • Measure and cut materials accurately; follow drawings and layouts for installations
- • Set up and assist with scaffolding, site layout, and basic framing or blocking as directed
- • Maintain a safe work area, follow site safety rules, and report issues to lead/foreman
What We're Looking For
- • Hands-on experience with custom cutting, warehouse work, and commercial construction projects
- • Ability to read and interpret drawings, templates and basic layouts
- • Skilled in measuring, cutting, and fit-up for cabinet, countertop and trim installations
- • Experience with general carpentry tasks: bench carpentry, trim/paneling, and basic metal/wood framing
- • Comfortable setting up scaffolding, following crane signaling/flagging directions, and handling floor/roof/stair framing support tasks
- • Reliable, punctual, able to lift regularly (up to 50 lbs) and work full shifts on active job sites
Qualifications
- • Fluent English (required)
- • OSHA 10 (recommended) or equivalent safety training
- • Forklift or warehouse equipment certification preferred
- • Crane signaling/flagger certification or experience preferred
- • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation preferred
- • Able to pass physical ability check and site drug screen if required
What We Offer
- • Competitive pay: $17–$30/hr based on experience
- • Local Orlando projects with steady work and consistent schedules
- • Overtime available at premium rates
- • PPE and on-the-job safety training provided
- • Weekly pay and opportunities for skill growth and promotion to lead/foreman roles
