General Laborer - Site Crew (Huntsville, AL)

About This Role

Immediate openings for hands-on General Laborers on local construction sites in Huntsville. Work is primarily day shifts handling material moves, site cleanup, basic demolition, and assisting concrete and carpentry crews. Pay is $16–20/hr depending on experience with overtime available. We want dependable people who show up on time, follow directions, and can work outdoors in all weather. What You'll Do

• • Load, unload, and move materials and equipment on site
• • Set up and break down jobsite; sweep, haul debris, and keep work areas safe and tidy
• • Assist skilled trades (carpentry, concrete, roofing) with lifting, holding, and prepping materials
• • Operate basic hand tools and light power tools (saws, drills, compactors) under supervision
• • Dig, backfill, and prepare trenches or forms as directed
• • Follow site safety rules, flag traffic when needed, and report hazards immediately

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 3–6 months construction or physical labor experience preferred
• • Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk all day
• • Reliable transportation to job site in Huntsville and punctual attendance
• • Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, and rain; able to use basic hand tools
• • Willingness to follow instructions, basic math/measurement for tasks, and work as part of a crew
• • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check as required

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle or reliable transportation
• • Willing to submit to and pass drug screen and background check
• • OSHA-10 or equivalent safety card a plus (not always required)
• • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• • English required for safety communication; Spanish speakers encouraged to apply
