Labor Journeyman - Fairfax, VA

About This Role

We need dependable Labor Journeymen in Fairfax, VA to keep busy construction sites clean, safe, and running smoothly. This is hands-on work: debris removal, trailer cleaning, basic material handling and supporting carpenters, masons and other trades under the direction of a Foreperson. You’ll work outdoors and indoors on active commercial and residential projects, navigate uneven terrain, lift and move materials, and report safety incidents immediately. Pay is competitive and based on experience — training and help obtaining OSHA-10 is available if needed.

What You'll Do

• • Set up and clean job sites daily — remove construction debris and maintain tidy work areas
• • Clean and sanitize jobsite trailers and common areas
• • Receive, move and store basic deliveries and materials safely
• • Perform interior and exterior site housekeeping throughout the shift
• • Provide labor support to carpenters, masons and other trades as directed by the Foreperson
• • Report all safety incidents and injuries immediately to the Foreperson and Safety Leader; follow documented approvals for out-of-scope work

What We're Looking For

• • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• • Construction site experience preferred; willing to train motivated candidates
• • Able to lift, carry and position heavy materials and navigate uneven jobsite terrain
• • Basic understanding of construction methods, site layout, measuring and material handling
• • Able to work in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions and in a team environment
• • OSHA 10 recommended — must obtain or be willing to obtain (assistance available)

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• • OSHA 10 (recommended; assistance available if needed)
• • Proof of certifications and credentials required at hire
• • Ability to communicate in English for safety reporting and team coordination
