General Labor - Carpenters, Laborers & Operators

About This Role

Multiple construction openings for carpenters, general laborers, and equipment operators located within 50 miles of Edinburg, TX. Pay rates up to $30/hr depending on role and experience. Positions include short- and long-term projects across residential and commercial sites. We need dependable local candidates who can start quickly. Roles range from entry-level labor to skilled carpentry and certified equipment operation. Work is hands-on and physical — punctuality, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow directions on site are required.

What You'll Do

• • Perform hands-on carpentry tasks: framing, finish work, measuring, cutting, and fastening materials (for carpenter roles).
• • Operate and maintain construction equipment safely (skid steer, backhoe, forklifts) for operator roles.
• • Site cleanup, loading/unloading materials, hand tools operation, and assisting skilled trades as needed.
• • Read basic work orders or receive instructions from foremen and follow project plans and safety procedures.
• • Set up and break down jobsite materials, brace forms, and prepare areas for next trade.
• • Report hazards, maintain tools/equipment, and follow all on-site safety rules and PPE requirements.

What We're Looking For

• • Live within 50 miles of Edinburg, TX and able to travel to job sites daily.
• • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance; ability to work full shifts and overtime when required.
• • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand, kneel, climb, and work in hot outdoor conditions.
• • Relevant experience for the role: carpentry experience for carpenter positions; proven heavy-equipment operation for operator roles.
• • Basic hand tools for carpenters or willingness to obtain them; ability to follow directions and work as part of a crew.

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• • OSHA 10 card preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• • Equipment operator certification preferred for operator roles (forklift, skid steer, heavy-equipment).
• • Able to pass a drug screen and basic background check.
• • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
