Labor Foreman

About This Role

We're hiring a Labor Foreman in Port St. Lucie, FL to supervise a small construction crew handling basic material installation and general site tasks. You will set daily priorities, produce work schedules, allocate manpower and resources, and ensure the crew meets safety and quality standards. This role reports to the Superintendent and requires at least 2 years of construction experience or training. You’ll be a hands-on leader who trains workers, resolves on-site issues, and keeps straightforward records of progress, attendance, and materials. Benefits and a retirement program are available.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate daily tasks and priorities for the on-site crew according to plans and direction from the Superintendent
  • Produce daily and weekly work schedules; monitor and report crew attendance and time worked
  • Allocate manpower, tools, materials, and responsibilities to meet production goals
  • Supervise, train, and coach workers; enforce quality standards and correct work as needed
  • Enforce all site safety procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure PPE and safe work practices
  • Troubleshoot on-site problems, document progress, and report status to the Superintendent

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of construction experience or equivalent training on site
  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and follow installation instructions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of directing a crew
  • Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety rules
  • Experience creating work schedules, tracking attendance, and managing time/materials
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and basic software (Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and common job apps)

Qualifications

  • English required
  • OSHA 10 (preferred) or equivalent safety training
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
