General Laborer

About this role

Seeking non-union general laborers in Montgomery, Alabama to support active construction sites. You will work alongside carpenters, concrete crews, and other skilled trades to move materials, keep sites organized, and complete basic construction tasks. This role is hands-on and physical. Typical assignments include day-shift work on commercial and residential projects, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed. Reliable attendance, a focus on safety, and the ability to follow direction are required.

What you'll do

• • Assist skilled trades on active job sites with material handling and basic labor tasks
• • Load, unload, and stage materials and equipment safely
• • Perform daily site cleanup, debris removal, and maintain tidy work areas
• • Support site layout and simple finishing tasks as directed by foremen
• • Operate basic hand and power tools and maintain assigned tools and equipment

What we're looking for

• • Prior general construction or labor experience on commercial or residential sites
• • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (physically fit for manual labor)
• • Follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to site safety rules
• • Reliable transportation to Montgomery job sites and consistent on-time attendance
• • Willingness to work full-time day shifts with occasional overtime or weekend work

Qualifications

• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Able to pass a drug screen and background check where required
• • Basic English communication for following directions and safety briefings
• • OSHA 10 or equivalent site-safety training preferred but not required
• • Experience working under a general labor foreman or crew lead is a plus
