About This Role
Seeking reliable, non-union general laborers in Montgomery, AL to support active construction sites. You’ll work alongside carpenters, electricians, and other trades doing hands-on tasks like moving materials, cleaning the site, and assisting crews to keep projects moving. This is steady, hourly work for people who show up on time, follow directions, and take safety seriously. Pay is competitive and based on experience; overtime and longer-term opportunities available for dependable crew members.
What You'll Do
- • Assist skilled trades on active residential and commercial job sites (hand tools, material prep)
- • Load, unload, and move materials and equipment safely around the site
- • Perform daily site cleanup—sweep, remove debris, dispose of waste according to site rules
- • Follow site layout and basic staking directions from foremen and leads
- • Set up and tear down jobsite protection, barriers, and temporary supports as needed
What We're Looking For
- • Previous general construction or labor experience on residential or commercial sites
- • Able to load/unload materials and lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
- • Comfortable following directions and working under a foreman or lead laborer
- • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and stand for long periods
- • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
- • Ability to pass basic background check and drug screen if required
- • OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain (preferred)
- • Basic English for reading work orders and communicating with crew
