Join a heavy civil crew as a Pipe Technician (Laborer) in Baltimore, MD. This is a physically demanding role working on interior and underground piping systems—ductile iron, PVC, copper, and stainless steel press-fit. Expect hands-on tasks like drilling, cutting, rigging, concrete demolition and material handling on active job sites. This position is a real opportunity to learn and advance. What You'll Do

  • Install interior piping: flanged ductile iron, PVC glue-joint, copper, and stainless steel press-fit.
  • Concrete hammer drilling for anchor installations and concrete demolition with air/electric tools.
  • Rigging and moving large/heavy materials using material handlers, cranes, and hand rigging.
  • Assemble scaffolds, operate manlifts, work at heights using fall protection systems.
  • Cut metal and pipe with grinders, portabands, and abrasive blades; follow layout from Field Manager.
  • Lift, carry, stage materials and tools; clean and maintain work area and equipment.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years construction site experience or related labor experience preferred.
  • Able to perform heavy physical work: lift repeatedly (50+ lbs), climb, bend, work in trenches.
  • Experience with pipe work, power tools, grinders, and basic rigging preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • OSHA 10 (preferred) and fall protection/scaffold training a plus
  • Forklift, rigging, or manlift certification is a plus
  • English required
