Roll Form Operator
About This Role
Roll Form Operator needed in Phoenix, AZ. Pay up to $44/hr. You’ll set up, operate, adjust and maintain the roll forming line and perform steel saw operations to produce metal parts to print. This is hands-on production work: tooling changeovers, routine preventive maintenance, quality checks, material handling and basic computer tracking (Smartsheets/Excel). You’ll work to meet daily production goals, keep setup logs, train others on basic operation, and follow strict safety procedures.
What You'll Do
- • Set up roll form tooling and perform line changeovers to match print specifications; maintain setup charts.
- • Operate roll forming equipment and ancillary machines (band saw, drill, grinder) and perform steel saw duties.
- • Make machine adjustments and finish checks to maintain dimensional tolerances and product quality.
- • Perform daily preventative maintenance, keep maintenance logs and report issues for repair.
- • Fill out coil tags and usage logs, stack/mark/pack finished pieces and prepare parts for the next work area.
- • Train other operators on basic roll form operation and safety procedures; report daily labor tracking.
What We're Looking For
- • 3+ years manufacturing experience; prior machine operator experience required (roll forming a plus).
- • 2+ years forklift experience; comfortable moving heavy material and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on tool skills (wrenches, feeler gauges, grinders, band saws).
- • Basic computer skills: Smartsheets, Excel, Word; accurate data entry for inventory (D365 exposure a plus).
- • Ability to read basic blueprints/prints and perform measurements to maintain tolerances.
- • Strong attention to detail, good communication, ability to work independently and train others.
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED preferred
- • Forklift certification or ability to be certified
- • Familiarity with CNC controls/AMS or Eclipse controllers is a plus
- • OSHA 10 preferred
- • English required (able to read instructions, blueprints and safety materials)
