General Laborer

About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer in Nashville, TN to support commercial construction projects. This is hands-on work: site prep, cleanup, material handling, demolition support and assisting skilled trades. You’ll work outdoors on active job sites and be expected to follow safety rules and site directions. This role is physical and fast-paced. Ideal candidates are dependable, arrive ready to work, can lift and carry materials, operate basic hand tools, and help maintain a clean and safe work area. What You'll Do

• • Perform physical labor tasks: lifting, carrying, shoveling, and moving materials
• • Load and unload trucks, stack materials, and keep inventory organized
• • Prepare and clean construction sites daily, remove debris, and manage waste
• • Assist with demolition, excavation/trench support, and site layout as directed
• • Operate basic hand tools and follow directions from foremen and skilled trades
• • Perform traffic control and flagging when required and maintain safe work zones

What We're Looking For

• • Previous experience in general construction, site clean up, or demolition
• • Able to load/unload materials, assist with site layout, and support excavation work
• • Knowledge of traffic control/flagging or willingness to learn and get certified
• • Physically fit: able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work outdoors
• • Reliable transportation to Nashville job sites and punctual attendance
• • Follow safety protocols and take direction from supervisors

Qualifications

• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check if required
• • OSHA 10-hour construction safety preferred or willingness to obtain
• • Flagger/traffic control certification a plus or willingness to certify
• • Basic English for safety communication; bilingual candidates encouraged
