About This Role

Join the crew as a Labor Journeyman in Rock Hill, SC. You’ll keep construction sites clean and safe, handle materials, support deliveries, and provide hands-on help to carpenters, masons, and other trades under the Foreperson’s direction. This is physical, outdoor work in varying weather. Reliable attendance, a practical approach, and a focus on safety are essential. We provide on-site training and will assist with required OSHA-10 certification if needed.

What You'll Do

  • Perform site setup and cleanup each day, including removal and proper disposal of construction debris
  • Clean and sanitize jobsite trailers and maintain interior and exterior housekeeping
  • Receive, move, and store materials safely; assist with basic deliveries and staging
  • Provide general labor support for carpenters, masons, and other trades as directed by the Foreperson
  • Navigate uneven jobsite terrain and maintain clear, safe work areas; report safety incidents and injuries immediately to Foreperson and Safety Leader
  • Follow site-specific plans and instructions; do not perform work outside assigned scope without Foreperson approval

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • OSHA-10 certification required (assistance available if not yet certified)
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials regularly (frequent 50+ lb lifts) and work on uneven terrain
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, site layout, and scaffolding awareness
  • Experience with loading/unloading material, site clean-up, and safe tool use
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and to follow safety procedures and directions from Foreperson

Qualifications

  • OSHA-10 certification (required)
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • Proof of certifications/degrees upon hire
  • Basic English proficiency to read safety instructions and communicate on site
