General Laborer — Claremont, NC

About This Role

Join a local construction crew as a General Laborer in Claremont, NC. This is hands-on, physical work helping with site cleanup, material handling, and basic trade support. Shifts are daytime, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays; immediate starts available. You’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople on residential and small commercial sites. No advanced certifications required to start — we value a strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to follow directions. Overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 40 hours.

What You'll Do

• • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and job sites
• • Perform site cleanup: remove debris, sweep, and keep walkways and work areas safe
• • Assist concrete, carpentry, and roofing crews: mixing, carrying, and positioning materials
• • Operate hand and basic power tools safely (saws, drills, grinders) under supervision
• • Set up and break down temporary jobsite protections: barricades, tarps, and signage
• • Follow directions from foremen, report hazards, and help maintain a safe worksite environment

What We're Looking For

• • 1+ year of construction or general labor experience preferred but not required
• • Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work on feet for full shifts
• • Reliable transportation to Claremont job sites and consistent punctuality
• • Basic ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• • Willingness to wear required PPE: hard hat, steel-toe boots, hi-vis vest

Qualifications

• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • OSHA-10 or equivalent safety card preferred but not required
• • Forklift, flagger, or trade-specific certifications are a plus
• • English proficiency for safety communications
