General Laborer (Per Diem)

About this role

Local, per diem General Laborer needed in Pampa, TX to support site operations on active construction projects. You’ll handle material loading/unloading, set up and take down scaffolding and staging, place and vibrate concrete, tend mortar and grout, and keep the site clean and safe. This role works directly with other trades and requires safe use of hand tools and small equipment (drills, jackhammers, pumps, forklifts, skid loaders). Bring a strong team attitude, willingness to follow site safety rules, and the ability to do physical work in all weather.

What you'll do

• • Load and unload equipment, supplies and materials; distribute tools and materials to trades
• • Erect, level, and dismantle frame & brace scaffolding and staging
• • Place, shovel, push/pull and vibrate concrete; tend mortar and grout and move mixed material between wheelbarrows/buckets
• • Operate basic small equipment and power tools (drills, vibrators, pumps, jackhammers, power buggies) and assist with forklifts/skid loaders as needed
• • Perform general site cleanup, debris removal, washing tools and equipment, and keep work areas safe
• • Work with other crafts, follow directions, and perform other duties assigned on site

What we're looking for

• • Experience in construction or general labor preferred
• • Ability to safely use power and non-powered hand tools and small equipment
• • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly (heavier loads with assistance or equipment)
• • Reliable attendance and ability to work per diem schedule and travel to site in Pampa, TX
• • Strong teamwork mindset, clear communication, and willingness to follow site safety procedures
• • Able to perform repetitive physical tasks, work outdoors, and meet basic job-site stamina demands

Qualifications

• • Forklift certification and/or experience operating skid loaders preferred
• • Experience with frame & brace scaffolding assembly and leveling
• • Hands-on concrete experience (placing, vibrating, finishing) preferred
• • Comfortable operating jackhammers, pumps, vibrators and power buggies
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Pampa job site
• • Ability to pass required drug screening and background checks; OSHA-10 or similar safety training preferred
