General Laborer

About this role

Join a construction crew in Temple, TX as a general laborer supporting daily site operations. You’ll handle cleanup, material staging, demo assistance, traffic control and general jobsite support on active commercial projects. Work is outdoors and varies by season. This role requires an OSHA-10 card, comfort with physically demanding work, and the ability to use common hand and power tools. Expect early starts, a steady site schedule, and regular safety briefings and toolbox talks.

What you'll do

• • Perform site cleanup: sweeping, debris removal, hauling and proper disposal of materials
• • Stage, unload and inventory materials; prepare supplies for trades and secure work areas
• • Assist with demolition tasks and operate demo tools under direction (sawing, chipping, grinding)
• • Use common hand and power tools including screw guns, rotary hammers and grinders; maintain basic tool and equipment inventories
• • Support access equipment and traffic control: assist with scissor/boom lift setup, forklift/utility vehicle support, and directing foot/vehicle traffic around the site
• • Follow safety protocols: participate in pre-task plans, toolbox talks, enforce barricades/fencing, and exercise Stop Work Authority for hazards

What we're looking for

• • OSHA-10 certification required; comfortable working outside in all weather and on uneven surfaces
• • Able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 80 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
• • Experience using hand and power tools (screw guns, demo saws, chipping guns, rotary hammers, grinders)
• • Comfortable working at heights, on scaffolds and ladders, in confined spaces and near active trades
• • Willingness to operate or assist with scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts and utility vehicles, or to complete operator training

Qualifications

• • OSHA-10 card (required)
• • Forklift certification (preferred)
• • Scissor lift/boom lift operator certification (preferred)
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
• • Ability to pass a site background and drug screen as required by project owners
