General Laborer - Pampa, TX

Pampa, TX $18-$23/hr

About this role

We are hiring general laborers based in or near Pampa, TX to support active construction sites. This role focuses on hands-on site work — loading and unloading materials, assisting skilled trades, site cleanup, and other day-to-day tasks to keep jobs moving safely and on schedule. This is physical, outdoor work. Expect day-shift assignments with some overtime or weekend work as projects require. Local candidates with reliable transportation and a strong work ethic will be prioritized.

What you'll do

  • Perform basic on-site tasks as directed by the foreman, including loading/unloading material and signing for deliveries.
  • Support skilled trades (carpentry, concrete, drywall) by setting up work areas, holding materials, and assisting with installations.
  • Maintain clean, safe jobsite conditions: daily cleanup, debris removal, temporary fencing installation, and trash staging.
  • Assist with scaffolding systems installation, site layout tasks, excavation/trench support, and general concrete work as directed.
  • Handle inventory control tasks: move and stage materials, track deliveries, and help with equipment organization; perform traffic control/flagging as needed.

What we're looking for

  • Previous construction or general labor experience preferred; able to follow directions and work on a crew.
  • Experience with loading/unloading, inventory control, and signing for deliveries.
  • Comfortable with scaffolding installation, temporary fencing, traffic control/flagging, and basic site layout.
  • Capable of physically demanding tasks: lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and working in varied weather conditions.
  • Experience operating a forklift and performing general concrete, excavation/trench, or drywall work is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to jobsite.
  • Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain site-specific certifications.
  • Flagger/traffic control or related certification preferred, or demonstrated experience.
  • Scaffolding training or proven experience installing systems a plus.
  • Ability to read basic site instructions and communicate in English; Spanish language skills are a plus.

What we offer

  • On-the-job training and opportunities to build trade skills (forklift, scaffolding, flagging).
  • Consistent, local project assignments in the Pampa area and steady day-shift scheduling when possible.
  • Overtime opportunities available when project needs require.
  • Site provides required personal protective equipment (PPE) and basic job tools as needed.
  • Clear advancement opportunities for reliable, safety-focused workers.
