Traveling Construction Laborer

About This Role

Join as a traveling construction laborer working nationwide. This hands-on role moves between job sites to support commercial, residential, and civil projects. You'll perform general construction tasks, assist crews, and help keep projects moving on schedule. This position is built for workers with under 5 years’ experience who want steady, travel-based work. Expect site-to-site travel, practical daily duties, travel pay or per diem, and on-the-job training to expand your skill set.

What You'll Do

• • Load and unload materials, hand off tools and supplies to crew members
• • Perform general cleanup, debris removal, and basic disaster remediation support at job sites
• • Assist with site preparation: digging, layout, shoring, and moving equipment or temporary structures
• • Help maintain and perform basic checks on heavy equipment and tools; report issues to foreman
• • Follow foreman and crew leader directions to complete concrete tasks, framing, demolition, and civil work support
• • Comply with safety protocols, set up barriers/signage, and keep work areas organized and stocked

What We're Looking For

• • Less than 5 years construction or related field experience; willing to learn on the job
• • Ability to travel between job sites and stay overnight when required; flexible schedule
• • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand, bend, and work outdoors in varied conditions
• • Basic skills in loading/unloading material, general construction, and site cleanup
• • Reliable, punctual, able to follow directions from foremen and crew leads

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required for travel assignments
• • OSHA 10-hour preferred or willingness to obtain on hire
• • Basic first aid/CPR preferred
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
• • Fluent English for safety communication; other languages a plus
