Commercial Concrete Equipment Operator

About This Role

Join a hands-on crew as a Commercial Concrete Equipment Operator in Atlanta, GA. You’ll run laser screeds, telehandlers, forklifts, skid steers, loaders and power buggies to support large-scale concrete pours for distribution centers, data centers, tilt-up and industrial slabs. This role is for experienced operators who work clean, safe, and keep production moving. This is a per diem position with steady, high-volume projects. We’re open to candidates willing to relocate. You’ll coordinate with pour crews and finishers, perform daily equipment checks, and handle basic preventative maintenance to keep machines running on fast-paced jobsites.

What You'll Do

• • Operate laser screeds (boom, drive-in, or walk-behind), telehandlers, forklifts, skid steers, loaders and power buggies during commercial concrete pours
• • Set up and calibrate equipment: laser alignment, screed head setup, grade referencing and machine positioning
• • Perform daily safety checks, document inspections and follow lockout/tagout and site safety rules
• • Coordinate with pour crews and finishing teams to maintain concrete flow and production pace
• • Support material movement and site logistics—load/unload, place rebar/embeds, and safely move equipment around congested pour areas

What We're Looking For

• • 1–3 years operating heavy equipment on commercial concrete jobs (laser screed experience preferred)
• • Ability to read grade stakes, elevation controls and pour maps
• • Safe driving/operator record and comfort operating in busy, congested pour areas
• • Basic mechanical aptitude for preventative maintenance: fluid checks, grease points, tire/track inspection
• • Clear communicator with crew members, spotters and foremen (radio/hand signal experience helpful)

Qualifications

• • Forklift Operator certification (required)
• • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • OSHA 10-hour card or equivalent safety training (preferred)
• • English required; Spanish a plus
