Heavy Equipment Operator

About This Role

Seeking very experienced local heavy equipment operators for a large datacenter site development in Eagle Mountain, UT. You’ll run dozers, loaders, graders and other big earthmoving machines to shape pads, haul material, and finish surfaces. This is local work only — no per diem. Pay is $25–$36/hr depending on experience. Candidates must be based in or near Eagle Mountain and able to start on site for ongoing phases of the project.

What You'll Do

• • Operate dozers, loaders, excavators, motor graders, skid steers and other large equipment for site grading and earthmoving
• • Set grades, cut/fill operations, finish surfaces with screed and grader, and verify lines using GPS rover
• • Load and unload material, spot dump trucks, and move material around the site safely
• • Perform daily equipment checks, basic hydraulic and diesel troubleshooting, and routine maintenance
• • Follow grade plans, staking, and supervisor directions while maintaining a tidy and safe work area
• • Coordinate with crew members and onsite trades to keep production moving and meet schedule targets

What We're Looking For

• • Proven heavy equipment operation experience on site development projects (dozer, loader, grader, excavator)
• • Comfortable using GPS navigation/GPS rover technology for grading and site layout
• • Hands-on maintenance skills: hydraulic systems, diesel engine checks, and general equipment upkeep
• • Experience with civil construction tasks and paving equipment operation a plus
• • Must be local to Eagle Mountain, UT — no per diem provided
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the jobsite

Qualifications

• • Minimum 3+ years operating heavy equipment in civil/site work preferred
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or ability to obtain before starting
• • CDL Class A or B preferred but not required
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
• • Familiarity with GPS rover systems and basic grade reading
• • English language proficiency for safe crew communication
