About This Role

Operate excavating and loading equipment on commercial and heavy civil projects around Atlanta. You will run excavators, dozers and loaders to complete trenching, backfill, grading and mass rock moves while following safety and quality standards. This role requires someone who works safely, communicates clearly with crew and foremen, and can work independently or as part of a team. Travel to out-of-town job sites is required. What You'll Do

  • Operate excavators, dozers, loaders and related heavy equipment for trenching, backfilling, grading and moving mass rock
  • Load haul trucks and position materials safely and efficiently
  • Set up machines and attachments correctly and perform basic pre-shift inspections
  • Follow company, OSHA and project-specific safety and environmental rules at all times
  • Communicate with crew, foremen and truck drivers to coordinate work and flagging/traffic control as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and perform light equipment maintenance and report issues

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience operating excavators, dozers or loaders on construction sites
  • Strong attention to safety and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read grade stakes and perform basic grade control tasks
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to out-of-town or out-of-state job sites
  • Good physical stamina for long shifts and ability to work outdoors in varied conditions
  • Team player with clear communication skills and dependable work ethic (on time, willing to learn)

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
  • OSHA-10 safety card preferred
  • NCCCO or manufacturer equipment certifications a plus
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours when needed
  • English required; Spanish a plus
