- • Load and unload materials, secure loads (flatbed/tank/double or triple trailer work when required), and position equipment for efficient workflow
- • Perform routine maintenance and inspections: hydraulic checks, diesel engine care, transmission and powertrain maintenance, lubrication and basic repairs
- • Follow site safety plans, lockout/tagout and traffic control procedures; work safely around electrical transmission lines and other hazards
- • Communicate and coordinate with crew, foremen, and other trades to ensure timely completion of work and proper site cleanup
What We're Looking For
- • Proven experience operating heavy equipment on commercial construction or civil sites (loader, dozer, excavator, backhoe, grader, skid steer)
- • Hands-on maintenance skills: hydraulic systems, diesel engine, transmission and powertrain troubleshooting and basic repairs
- • Experience with loading/unloading, flatbed and tank operations, and towing (double/triple trailer experience a plus)
- • Comfort working in proximity to electrical transmission wires and on steep or challenging terrain
- • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; strong communication and ability to follow directions and signals
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL preferred if hauling
- • TWIC card or willingness to obtain when required for site access
- • Forklift certification and operator tickets a plus
- • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
- • Fluent or working proficiency in English and Spanish
- • Ability to pass drug test and background check as required by project
What We Offer
- • $20–$30 per hour depending on experience
- • Overtime available when projects require it
- • Opportunities for steady, long-term work on commercial construction projects
- • Paid safety training and on-the-job skills development
- • PPE provided (hard hats, safety vests, etc.) and drug-screening as required
