About This Role
Heavy Equipment Foreman needed for a West Texas project based out of Amarillo. Pay is $36–$45/hour plus $830/week per diem for qualified candidates. Travel to project site is required. You will lead and supervise crews of 20–40 workers, manage mass grading and underground utility installs, and oversee HDPE pipe installation. The role focuses on safe, efficient heavy-equipment operations and day-to-day field coordination.
What You'll Do
- • Lead and supervise crews of 20–40 employees on daily construction activities
- • Plan and manage mass grading operations to meet schedule and grade specs
- • Oversee underground utility installation and HDPE pipe work for accuracy and safety
- • Coordinate heavy equipment operators (dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, scrapers) and assign daily tasks
- • Enforce site safety procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with jobsite rules
What We're Looking For
- • Proven experience leading crews of 20–40 on civil construction projects
- • Hands-on experience with mass grading, utility trenching, and HDPE pipe installation
- • Strong equipment coordination skills across dozers, graders, loaders, excavators and scrapers
- • Ability to read and interpret drawings and grade stakes; enforce quality standards
- • Track record of enforcing safety procedures and managing field operations efficiently
Qualifications
- • OSHA 10 (minimum) — OSHA 30 preferred
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to project site
- • Minimum 5 years heavy equipment operation experience; 2+ years supervisory/foreman experience preferred
- • Able to pass standard pre-employment drug screen and background check
- • Proficient in English for safe communication on site
