Full Time

Heavy Equipment Operator Foreman

Nationwide

About This Role

We’re hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator Foreman for nationwide construction work. This is a hands-on lead role — you’ll run dozers, loaders, scrapers, rollers, cranes and aerial lifts while directing a crew of operators, keeping the site clean and safe, and helping plan daily work. You’ll split time between operating equipment and supervising: setting work sequences, helping estimate worker-hours, ensuring timecards and paperwork are completed, performing routine equipment checks, and coaching operators to meet productivity and safety standards. Competitive pay (DOE) and benefits are available for eligible employees.

What You'll Do

  • Operate dozers, loaders, scrapers, rollers, skid-steers, backhoes/excavators, telehandlers/forklifts, cranes and boom/aerial lifts safely and efficiently
  • Plan and adjust daily work sequences to meet schedules; follow work plans and pre-task cards
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections; spot and report mechanical problems; coordinate equipment service
  • Supervise, coach and manage a crew of operators; review and ensure accurate timecards and basic job documentation
  • Enforce safety rules, maintain housekeeping on site, follow traffic control and flagging procedures when required
  • Assist with scheduling, estimating worker-hours, and resolving on-site work problems

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years operating heavy equipment in construction or civil projects; experience leading or training others preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with any required endorsements for equipment transport; ability to travel to job sites nationwide
  • Comfortable operating a wide variety of machines (dozer, grader, loader, scraper, excavator, backhoe, roller, skid-steer, boom lifts, cranes)
  • Strong safety focus: able to follow and enforce safety plans, pre-task cards, and OSHA rules on site
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for routine hydraulic and diesel maintenance; able to detect malfunctions and coordinate repairs
  • Willingness to travel, work variable schedules, and relocate for assignments as needed

Qualifications

  • TWIC card (if project requires)
  • OSHA-30 certification required
  • Equipment/operator certifications for relevant machines (dozer, crane, forklift, aerial lift, etc.)
  • Current driver’s license with proper classification and endorsements as required by law; CDL as applicable
  • Minimum two (2) years related heavy equipment experience; supervisory or foreman experience preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs regularly and perform repetitive hand/arm movements

What We Offer

  • Medical, prescription drug and vision coverage for eligible employees
  • Dental plan and employer-paid life/AD&D and disability insurance (eligible employees)
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match (eligible employees)
  • Paid time off, holidays and other paid leaves (eligible employees)
  • No-cost mental health resources and work-life concierge; tuition reimbursement and adoption assistance (eligible employees)
  • Discounted gym memberships and other employee perks
